The Jacob Open -Golf For Life Tournament is an annual charity golf tournament benefiting the Histiocytosis Association of America's search for a cure. This non-profit organization is the leader in providing funding for medical research projects searching for the cause, cure, and best treatment of Histiocytosis. |

Histiocytosis is a rare disease that affects primarily young children and is often life threatening. The family of Jacob Alexander Dinkins, an 18-month-old toddler who lost his life to Histiocytosis after a painful battle with this disease, initiated the Jacob Open in 1997. To date, the annual tournament has raised over 100,000 USD to benefit the Histiocytosis Association of America.
